The teams

MATEIS comprises six research groups studying the physical, chemical and mechanical properties of four classes of material with existing structures. These are metals, ceramics, polymers and composites: :

• The METAL group – METals and ALloys
• The PVMH group – Polymers, Glass and Heterogeneous Materials
• The CERA group – CERAmic and Composite materials
• The SNMS group – Structures, Nano- and MicroStructures
• The I2B group – Biological interactions and Biomaterials
• The CorrIS group – Corrosion and Surface Engineering
